This pizza pie will surely be a favorite dish of all your family members. It's probably a good idea to make two batches, so you'll have some left over for tomorrow...

  • 2 teaspoons of olive oil
  • 1 head red onion (large head, chopped)
  • 3 slices bacon (chopped)
  • 1 package of pasta (penne)
  • 200 g champignons (chopped)
  • 1 piece green pepper (medium size, chopped)
  • 700 g of tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons basil (fresh, chopped)
  • 200 g pizza cheese (grated)
  • so

  1. Heat the oven to 160-180 C. If you have a fan, turn it on.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a pan. Add chopped bacon and chopped red onion. Fry for about 5 minutes.
  3. Grease the baking dish with a little oil. Add the pasta, and over it add the rest of the ingredients. Add fried onions and bacon. Mix well, so that the mass is even. Cover the dish with aluminum foil. Bake for 20 minutes.
  4. Remove the baking dish and check. If necessary, add a little lukewarm water (if the pasta has absorbed the tomato sauce). Cover well again with aluminum foil. Bake for 20 minutes.
  5. Remove the baking dish and sprinkle with cheese. Bake for another 15-20 minutes, uncovered, until the cheese is browned and golden. Serve hot, cut into serving size cubes, on large plates, served over lettuce leaves.
