Braided donuts - fine donuts for breakfast. Serve with white coffee and a chocolate drink.

  • 700 grams of flour
  • a packet of yeast
  • 1,5 dcl. water
  • a teaspoon of sugar
  • a teaspoon of salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 deciliters of milk
  • 2 vanilla sugars
  • oil for frying
  • powdered sugar for sprinkling
  1. Add sugar to lukewarm water and let the coffee stand for ten minutes. Mix the flour with salt, add eggs, milk, vanilla sugar and finally the added yeast. Knead the dough and let it rise for an hour in a warm place to double in size.
  2. Knead the resulting dough and make walnut-sized balls. Make oblong rolls from each ball and make braids out of three, until all the material is used up.
  3. Leave the braids to stand for ten minutes and then fry them in deep hot oil on both sides until golden brown.
  4. Remove the braids with a slotted spoon and place on napkins to absorb excess fat.
Sprinkle the finished braids with powdered sugar and serve.
