Scones with crackers.

Scones with crackers, ingredients:

  • 900 g of flour,
  • 42 g of yeast,
  • 0,5 l of lukewarm water,
  • 2 dl sour cream,
  • 2 teaspoons of salt,
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar,
  • 100 g of fat,
  • about 300 g of ground crackers.

Scones with crackers, preparation:

  • Add salt and sugar to lukewarm water. Stir in the yeast and leave to rise.
  • Sift the flour, add fat, sour cream and water with yeast, and knead the dough from this mixture. Leave it covered with a cloth to stand, in a warm place, to grow.
  • When it has doubled in size, roll it out with a rolling pin and then coat with hot water, cross one end over the other, coat with hot water again, and "fold the dough" once more. Let it stand, and in the meantime grind the cracklings. If you don't have crackers, yeast is also ideal.
  • Roll out the dough again with a rolling pin and spread a mixture of ground crackers or yeast over it.
  • Fold the dough in half and cover with crackers again. Fold again and let rest.
  • When the dough has rested a little, roll it out again with a rolling pin and use a round mold to make scones.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 20 minutes, or until nicely browned.

Tip: you can also make mini scones from this mixture.
