Lean green beans - quick to prepare, an excellent accompaniment to meat or fish. And it can be an independent meal.

  • 500 g green beans (young, "pencil" type)
  • 1 piece of onion
  • 0,5 dl oil
  • dry herbal spice
  • tomato juice (or fresh tomatoes)
  • garlic
  • dill
  1. Clean the green beans and cut them into short pieces.
  2. Fry the chopped onion on the onion and add the washed green beans.
  3. The green beans should be moist so they don't stick to the bottom.
  4. Add dry herbal seasoning and a little water, just to soak it, and stew the green beans for 30 minutes at a medium temperature.
  5. If the green beans are young, they will be soft after that time, and finally add finely chopped garlic, spices and tomato juice or fresh tomatoes.
  6. Simmer everything a little more.
  7. The dish is thick and does not have a lot of liquid.
Yellow pencil green beans are best for this dish. Serve it warm or cold.
