Lean vanillas - Kristina Gašpar - Recipes and Cookbook online
Lenten vanillas - Lenten vanillas with rum and cinnamon. They smell like the holidays.
For the dough
- 100 g sugar (powdered)
- 200 g margarine (finely chopped or grated)
- 300 g flour (soft, type 400)
For charging
- 1 jar of marmalade (or jam, of choice)
- 2 teaspoons rum extract
Spices
- vanilla sugar
- cinnamon
- Combine all dry ingredients, add chopped margarine and knead the dough (it is recommended to add vanilla sugar and cinnamon to the dough).
- If necessary, add 1-2 tablespoons of water (if the dough cannot be kneaded well).
- Pack the dough in a bag and keep it in the fridge for about half an hour.
- Roll it out thin - about 3 mm thick, sprinkle it with vanilla sugar and cinnamon, pat it down, cut the desired shapes and bake at 150-160 degrees for a maximum of 10 minutes.
- Combine marmalade and rum and combine two biscuits each.
- The next day, roll the vanilla beans in powdered sugar (which you flavored with vanilla), but only around the edges (not the whole).
