Lean vanilla beans, ingredients:
For the dough:
- 200 g of lean margarine,
- 120 g of powdered sugar,
- 400 g of flour,
- 1 lemon,
- 50 g of ground walnuts.
To connect:
- if necessary, jam.
For rolling vanilla:
- if necessary, powdered sugar.
Lenten vanilla beans, preparation:
For the dough:
- Mix margarine at room temperature and powdered sugar with a mixer.
- Add the grated lemon peel and half the juice from the whole squeezed lemon.
- Add ground walnuts and mix gently with a mixer. Gradually add flour and beat with a mixer.
- Place the dough on the work surface, sprinkle with flour and knead. Use a rolling pin to roll into a large circle. Use a small mold (or brandy glass) to cut out circles. Arrange them in a tray lined with parchment paper. Bake in a well-heated oven at 180 degrees for 7-10 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool. Combine them with jam, roll in powdered sugar, serve and serve.
Tip: take care that they do not overcook, that they remain white. I used homemade apricot jam that I cooked myself. You can use jam of your choice. Certainly, you get very tasty vanillas that melt in your mouth. Pleasant!
