Lenten dessert without sugar - fresh dates differ from candied or dried dates in that they do not contain sugar, they are softer and usually larger depending on the type. These lean balls do not have a sweet taste, because sesame and cocoa have a slightly stronger (bitter) taste.

Fast dessert without sugar, ingredients:

  • 200 g of fresh dates (pitted)
  • 150 g raw sesame
  • 20 g of cocoa
  • 0,5 piece of orange (orange juice)
  • nuts (optional, for rolling balls)
  • coconut flour (for rolling balls)

Fast dessert without sugar, preparation:

  • Grind or finely chop the dates.
  • Grind the sesame seeds.
  • Combine dates, sesame and cocoa.
  • Add the orange juice gradually until you get a compact mixture that you can form into balls.
  • Note that the mixture will firm up as it sits.
  • Before shaping, you can leave the mixture to stand for about an hour.
  • To taste, you can add grated orange peel to the balls.

Use coconut flour to roll the balls.
