Lenten cake on a wafer - a wonderful old-fashioned cake made from simple ingredients. Nuts, jam, biscuits and wafers are ingredients that every housewife has in the house and the cake can be on your table in no time.

It is very tasty, I always include it when there are big celebrations and gatherings. It can be both lean and fat. A cake that never goes out of fashion!

Lenten cake on a wafer, ingredients:

Required for I file:

  • 1 dl of water
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 250 g of walnuts
  • 100 g of biscuits
  • 120 g of margarine
  • a few spoons of jam of your choice

Required for II file:

  • 250 g of margarine
  • 200 g powdered sugar
  • 300 g of chocolate

And we still need:

  • 1 sheet of larger wafer that needs to be shortened a little
  • 100 g of dark chocolate
  • 4 tablespoons of oil

Lean cake on a wafer, preparation:

  • Pour water over the sugar and bring to a boil. Let it boil for 3 minutes on low heat, then add margarine cut into smaller pieces. Stir until it melts, remove from the heat and stir in ground walnuts and ground biscuits.
  • Spread the wafer with jam of your choice, but on the rough side, then cover with the first filling.
  • Beat the margarine until foamy together with the powdered sugar.
  • Add melted, cooled chocolate. Place immediately over the first filling.
  • Melt the chocolate in steam with oil and pour over the entire cake.
  • The next day, cut into strips and enjoy the wonderful taste.
  • Pleasant!
