Lean gingerbread - I was given the task of making lean gingerbread, here are the results.
Lean gingerbread - Kristina Gašpar
Lean gingerbread, ingredients:
- 250 g of flour
- 70 g of margarine
- 50 g of sugar
- 0,5 teaspoons of baking soda
- 0,25 teaspoons of cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar
- 1 teaspoon orange peel (grated)
- a pinch of ginger and turmeric
Syrup
- 30 ml of sugar
- 30 ml of water
- 1 teaspoon honey (full teaspoon)
Lean gingerbread, preparation:
- First, boil the syrup that serves to combine the dry ingredients.
- Boil sugar and water, when the mixture boils, it needs to boil for 2-3 minutes. Then add honey and stir until it dissolves.
- While the syrup is cooling, combine all the dry ingredients, rub them well to combine the margarine with the flour.
- Make a well and pour the syrup. Then knead a smooth dough. Let it stand for about 10 minutes in the freezer.
- Make rolls of the dough about 2 cm in diameter and cut into 1 cm thick pieces. Arrange in a tray with a minimum distance of 1 cm between the gingerbread. Bake at 170 degrees for 10 minutes.
