Lean lentils with paprika - Among my recipes, you will often come across lean dishes, i.e. vegan, but also vegetarian. He rarely goes astray with meat. In any case, there is something for everyone. I often prepare lentils in various ways, I prepare stews, stews, salads... Here is one of my "quick" recipes 😉

Lentils with paprika - Kristina Gašpar

ingredients:

• 250 g of lentils
• 2 bay leaves
• 1 onion
• 4 tablespoons of oil
• 300 g of fresh paprika
• 1 clove of garlic
• salt (pepper and parsley to taste)

Preparation:

1. Wash the lentils well and boil them in slightly salted and peppered water with the addition of a bay leaf. If you have time, you can soak the lentils to swell them. It absorbs water quickly, much faster than beans. Depending on the type of lentils, the length of cooking depends, usually around 10-15 minutes.
2. While the lentils are cooking, fry the finely chopped onion in the oil. When golden brown, add chopped pepper and garlic. Stir-fry on high for about 5 minutes.
3. Then add the cooked and drained lentils (I don't add too much water when cooking, so I don't have anything to drain).
4. Add salt and pepper to taste and simmer for a few minutes and serve with a salad 😉
5. When serving, sprinkle with parsley. Pleasant!

1. I love lentils and it's amazing to me how rarely people use them, often in my house they try them for the first time.
