Lenten bean soup for 4 people.

Lenten bean soup, ingredients:

  • 400 grams of green beans
  • 1 carrot, 2 onions
  • 1/2 celery root
  • 1 fresh pepper
  • 1/2 leek waist
  • mushroom legs
  • 1 small head of garlic
  • a sprig of fresh rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
  • salt to taste

Lenten bean soup, preparation:

  • Wash the beans in some water, add sliced ​​vegetables, mushrooms and salt. Save the garlic, rosemary and thyme for last.
  • Pour water, three fingers over the beans. Cover and put on fire to cook.
  • The beans are simmered on the stove for at least 2 hours, depending on the strength of the fire. I add water from time to time so that it cooks nicely. At the end of cooking, add sliced ​​and cleaned garlic cloves, rosemary and thyme. Let it cook for another fifteen minutes and remove from the heat

Along with the beans, serve a colorful winter salad.
