Lenten bean soup for 4 people.
Lenten bean soup, ingredients:
- 400 grams of green beans
- 1 carrot, 2 onions
- 1/2 celery root
- 1 fresh pepper
- 1/2 leek waist
- mushroom legs
- 1 small head of garlic
- a sprig of fresh rosemary
- 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
- salt to taste
Lenten bean soup, preparation:
- Wash the beans in some water, add sliced vegetables, mushrooms and salt. Save the garlic, rosemary and thyme for last.
- Pour water, three fingers over the beans. Cover and put on fire to cook.
- The beans are simmered on the stove for at least 2 hours, depending on the strength of the fire. I add water from time to time so that it cooks nicely. At the end of cooking, add sliced and cleaned garlic cloves, rosemary and thyme. Let it cook for another fifteen minutes and remove from the heat
Along with the beans, serve a colorful winter salad.
