Crédit Agricole and METRO Cash & Carry delighted 150 children from the "Milan Petrović" school in Novi Sad
Novi Sad, December 8, 2016 - More than 150 children with developmental disabilities from the "Milan Petrović" school attended the New Year's performance as part of the traditional campaign "New Year's Box", organized by the companies Crédit Agricole Srbija and METRO Cash & Carry Srbija. On this occasion, the mini-musical called "New Year's Magic" presented the spirit of the upcoming New Year holidays in a fun way, brought children's smiles and made these little ones and their families feel the support they need.
In addition to spending time with Villa Dobrila and the actors of the musical, the children were also delighted with New Year's boxes full of sweets prepared especially for them by employees from Crédit Agricole Srbija, METRO Cash & Carry Srbija, the Novi Sad fair and the Lafarge Srbija company, and distributed by Santa's helpers from Crveno of the cross of Novi Sad.
Today's performance was realized as part of the humanitarian project "New Year's Box", which these two companies with the support of partners have been implementing since 2009 and whose goal is to provide support to natural families and improve the quality of life of children in them. The total number of packages for children since 2012, when this campaign was organized in Novi Sad, was around 1000.
The multi-year duration of the "New Year's Box" project is proof of the importance of this action precisely in supporting families, who daily face social and other challenges, but also in raising society's awareness of the need to include all those who can help.
"New Year's Box" is a continuation of the humanitarian action Magic Breakfast, which was organized by the companies Crédit Agricole Srbija, METRO Cash & Carry Srbija and the non-governmental organization Banka Hrane in April this year. At that time, more than nine tons of food were provided for the needs of schools for children with developmental disabilities.
