Prebranac is a traditional dish made from large white beans, it can be without meat or with meat. I prepare it with fresh and dry mutton and beef.

When I prepare prebranac, I prepare it in an earthen pot with a lid, and then it tastes exactly like what my mother and grandmother used to make. It would be even more beautiful and tastier if it were prepared on Smederevac.

  • 500 g of onion
  • 500 g of beef (fresh, neck or mutton from the neck)
  • 500 g of dry beef (or mutton)
  • salt (to taste)
  • pepper (to taste)
  • allspice (to taste)
  • Vegeta (to taste)
  1. Wash the beans and let them boil.
  2. When it boils, let it boil for 10 minutes and throw away the first water and rinse the beans with cold water, pour the water into the pot and let the beans simmer for 45 minutes.
  3. Chop the onion and fry it in oil.
  4. Remove the onion from the stove and put 2 small teaspoons of allspice in the onion

  6. Put the drained beans in a large bowl, but not all of the cooked beans, leave the other part of the beans to cover the meat. Place the onion over the beans. Add fresh beef cut into cubes. Add, combine, then salt, pepper, add vegetables to taste, cover with beans and pour cold water to soak. Cover with a lid and put in the oven at 200 degrees for about 100 minutes. Open the oven from time to time and if necessary add a little more water. Pleasant.
