Non-governmental organization Business Development Network within the project School of business skills organizes a new lecture:

Nils Ragnar Kamsvag

Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway in Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia

Lecture topic: Entrepreneurship in Norway

The lecture will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2015, starting at 18 p.m. in the Rectorate's Ceremonial Hall University of Belgrade, Studentski trg 1.

His Excellency, Nils Ragnar Kamsvåg, the ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway, is a career diplomat who during one period, in the early nineties, also worked in the business sector for one of the largest companies, Norsk Hidro. He has been working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway since 1981. He built his diplomatic career in various countries. He worked in Beirut during the civil war period and then in Rome. In Brussels, he was a member of the team that once prepared the procedures for Norway's accession to the European Union. He continued his diplomatic journey in Beijing and Jerusalem, and after the aforementioned ambassadorial positions, he worked in the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Department for the Western Balkans. This year, Ambassador Kamsvag successfully completed his five-year mandate in Belgrade.

Goal of a project School of business skills is to provide young people with knowledge and skills that they do not encounter during regular education, all in order to reduce unemployment and to improve and make better use of the intellectual capital of young people in the country. Some of the topics that School of business skills deals with: entrepreneurship, leadership, diplomatic relations, communication, public relations, teamwork, psychology of success, business ethics, human rights, local development, democracy.

Our lecturers are eminent experts from Serbia and abroad. So far we have had the honor of hosting Dr. John Lennox (Professor from Oxford University), Dr. Jürgen Spies (Director of the Institute for Humanities), Tony O'Brien (Director of the British Council for the Western Balkans), Laurent Stockwis (Ambassador of the Netherlands for Serbia and Montenegro Goru), Stefen Fish (CEO of Ernst & Young), Guy Djoken (CEO of the UNESCO Center for Peace from Washington), Slavica Pavlović (CFO of Eurobank) and many others.

The new lecture season began with the guest appearance of the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize for 2003, Dr. Shirin Ebadi from Iran, which was held on October 22, 2014 at the Faculty of Civil Engineering.
