"The presentation of publications from the "Intangible Cultural Heritage of Serbia" edition, initiated by the Center for Intangible Cultural Heritage at the Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade, was held on October 26, 10, at the Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade. Publications by Dr. Biljana Đorđević Zlakusko pottery. Intangible cultural heritage of humanity i Ražanje shoemaking i Production of crepules in Rujište near Raznje, were created as a result of several years of research and cooperation of the author with local communities on identifying, registering, documenting and preserving knowledge and skills related to these traditional crafts.

The presentation of publications, whose aim is to bring to the public these elements of "living heritage" registered in the National Register of Intangible Cultural Heritage, i.e. on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, was also an occasion to discuss the role of local communities in preserving their own intangible cultural heritage. The conversation was attended by the president of the National Committee for NKN Bora Dimitrijević, the president of the Municipality of Ražanj Dobrica Stojković, the president of the Association of Potters "Zlakusa" Darko Tešić, reviewer prof. Dr. Ljiljana Gavrilović, author of publications and museum advisor of the National Museum of Serbia, Dr. Biljana Đorđević and coordinator of the Center for Intangible Cultural Heritage Danijela Filipović, was aimed at pointing out the importance of various actors, primarily local communities and experts, in the preservation of intangible cultural heritage. In the conversation, the importance of recognizing the importance of intangible cultural heritage in the local community was highlighted, as well as the role of the community in preserving its own heritage. It was emphasized that this role is visible in all phases of preservation of "living heritage" - from recognition to active action in order to ensure conditions for transmission to new generations. The example of the Municipality of Ražanj is recognized as a good model for the local community's active approach to the preservation of intangible cultural heritage. Namely, the local self-government, in cooperation with the heritage holders, associations and the Tourist Organization, recognizing the Ražanje pottery as an important local heritage, established cooperation with experts on the preservation of this element, which resulted not only in its entry into the National Register, but also in increasing interest in the community itself for this traditional craft. At the same time, the conversation emphasized the necessity of constant monitoring of the "living heritage", its changes and threats to which it is exposed. Citing the example of Zlaku pottery, which is endangered due to the suppression of the traditional technique of production on a hand winch, the necessity of joint action of all actors - heritage bearers, experts, cultural and educational institutions and others - was highlighted once again.

Within the program a creeper Danijela Petrović from Raznje and Mileta Lazić, a potter from Zlakusa, demonstrated production techniques crepula from Rujište and the pottery industry.

The program was implemented as part of the activities organized by the Center for the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Serbia at the Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade, as a professional body responsible for the preservation of the intangible cultural heritage, within the framework of marking the tenth anniversary of work, with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of continuous work in this area and the importance of preservation intangible cultural heritage for the wider community and society as a whole."
