The human body converts beta carotene into vitamin A

We are during the summer exposed to the sun's rays much more than in other seasons. Because of it is very important to "feed" the skin in the right way.

The ideal food for the skin is beta-carotene.

Beta-carotene (inactive form of vitamin A - provitamin of vitamin A) is a vegetable pigment of orange (varies from yellow to red) color that is found in large quantities in both vegetables and fruits.

The human body converts it into vitamin A.

It is found in the largest quantities in carrots, and in addition to it, peaches, apricots, melons, as well as other orange-colored fruits and vegetables can also be distinguished.

Beta-carotene increases the amount of melanin - a pigment that acts as natural protection against harmful UV rays. Taking in a larger amount of natural beta-carotene has a beneficial effect on faster skin darkening, prevents allergic reactions, skin aging, binds free radicals, and of course, strengthens immunity.

It also has a favorable effect on skin and mucous membrane regeneration - beta carotene has a very strong effect on young cells and helps them to mature faster and replace old and dead cells. It is recommended that beta-carotene combined with vitamin E (fat found in larger quantities in vegetable oils, but also in raw sunflower seeds, wheat germ, eggs...) and vitamin C because they also have a beneficial effect on skin protection.

The human body absorbs vitamins and minerals best from natural juices.

It is best to consume freshly squeezed juices.

But since beta-carotene can withstand high temperatures - it is thermostable, there is no fear that it will be destroyed by cooking.

If you are not able to make fresh juice every day, prepare it according to the following recipe.

Necessary ingredients:

 • 500 g of carrots
 • 300 g of peaches
 • water as needed
 • honey and lemon as desired

Preparation:

 • Peel the peaches and boil them briefly (one key) in a little water (about 2 dl).
 • Blend them.
 • Squeeze the carrot in a juicer.
 • Pour in the peach juice, add about 1 l of water and boil again for a short time.
 • If desired, you can add honey and lemon juice to the chilled juice.
 • If you don't have a juicer, you can blend the grated carrot together with the peach, but note that the taste and texture of the juice will not be the same.
 • In this case, use 200 g of carrots.
 • The amount of water is approximate. Add as much water as suits your taste.
 • If you are preparing to go to the sea or somewhere where you will spend more time in the sun, prepare and protect your skin in time in a natural way.
