My grandmother, Ikonija Bjelica, born Muratović, my mother's mother, lived in Zaoviste (Herzegovina).
She didn't measure anything, she didn't have a scale, everything was approximate and it was excellent. They did not have the opportunity to prepare various dishes, they made what they found in the house, everything from scratch. A large family with 12 members, nine children, grandfather Lazo, grandmother Ikonija, grandfather's mother Anđa, (my great-grandmother) whom my mother Mirjana talks about with a lot of love. Children of Radojko, Stan, Milena, Blagoje, Kosta, Milan, Bora, Desa, Mirjana. It was necessary to feed such a large family. I love these simple old fashioned dishes. "Today we are descendants and tomorrow we are ancestors".

In order to make this old Herzegovinian dish, you need to beat eggs well, then add crumbled skripavac cheese (whole cheese made from uncooked milk, its soul has not been extracted). In another bowl, cream and milk are mixed and flour is added to it. Finally, both mixtures are combined and mixed well. Before the mixture is placed in a pan greased with fat, the pan is heated at a temperature of 180 C for a few minutes. After that, the mixture is poured into a pan and baked at a temperature of 180 C until it is nicely browned. Presnac is served as soon as it is baked, while it is still warm, it is rarely eaten cold because if there is a large family there is nothing left for later. We like to eat it with sour.
