On Wednesday, December 26, 2018, the Minister of Culture and Information, Vladan Vukosavljević, presented the "Cultural Pattern" award to institutions and individuals for "dedicated work for the benefit of our culture" at the Yugoslav Cinematheque. Among the winners of this award is Olivera Skoko, senior curator at the Zrenjanin National Museum.
"A symbolic but sincere thank you received the form of recognition under the name "Cultural model" and we can truly say that these institutions and pregoci can be a "cultural model" in their activities in the wide field of culture," said Vukosavljević. He added that there is a quote from Slobodan Jovanović on the diploma: "Culture gives that reputation and that moral supremacy that, so to speak, imperceptibly and without encountering resistance, wins."
Olivera Skoko works in the National Museum of Zrenjanin as a senior curator-historian of art, leading the Collection of Fine Arts. He is the author of several exhibitions, catalogs and projects that were supported by the Ministry of Culture and Information. This year, the exhibition "So, you are Uroš Predić?", with which the Zrenjanin museum marked 160 years since the birth of the great painter, was particularly noteworthy. After a successful presentation in Zrenjanin, it was followed by a guest appearance at the Gallery of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Belgrade. In less than a month, as long as the exhibition lasted, it was seen by over 46000 visitors, which makes it one of the most visited installations in this area.
