Millet has been an important part of the human diet since ancient times. Millet porridge is one of the ways of preparing this cereal, and it originates from medieval times.

In terms of composition, millet contains approximately the same percentage of protein as wheat. An important feature is that it increases the alkalinity of the organism, which contributes to preventing the growth and development of bacteria.

Millet is rich in B vitamins, especially niacin, B17, B6, folic acid, calcium, iron, sodium, magnesium and zinc. Millet does not contain gluten, so it is suitable for use in the diet of people suffering from celiac disease.
