Prpeć, an old, traditional recipe.
Prep, ingredients:
- 1 kg of flour,
- 1 teaspoon of salt,
- 10 tablespoon fat,
- 500 ml of water,
- 800 g of cheese,
- 4 eggs.
Prpeć, preparation:
- Mix the flour with salt and gradually add water, two tablespoons of fat and mix well.
- Divide the dough into 10 noodles. Roll out each noodle into a circle. Brush with fat and arrange them on top of each other, then when you have arranged them all, stretch them again to make a single crust. After that, roll up the dough, fold it in half and stretch it again into one big crust.
- Lubricate the pan with grease and transfer the dough into it, so that it goes over the edges of the pan, and then coat the dough well with grease.
- Combine the cheese and eggs, then spread the filling. Transfer the excess dough that sticks out over the cheese.
- Brush a little more with melted fat and bake at 220 °C for about 40 minutes.
