Recipe for stuffed peppers. There is nothing better than when the house smells like stuffed peppers. It is not complicated to prepare them, it takes a little time, but it is worth it.

Charge:

  • 100 g of mixed minced meat
  • 1 head of onion (larger or 2 smaller heads finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves of garlic (chopped)
  • 1 spoon of sweet paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 0,5 teaspoon of ground pepper
  • 0,5 cups of rice
  • 1 tablespoon fennel (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon of dried spice

Other:

  • 1 kg bell pepper (yellow bell peppers are best)
  • olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • celery (small, sprigs and leaves)
  • 0,5 cups of tomato concentrate
  • salt (little)
  • 1 piece of tomato
  1. Peppers, bell pepper, clean from seeds. It is best to cut the top in a circle with a knife so that you only open at the top, then run your hand in a circle and remove the excess inside and rinse under water. The seeds are light, so if you leave them under running water, they will float away by themselves. But it is important to separate them beforehand by hand in the interior.
  2. Put all the filling ingredients in a bowl and mix them well.
  3. Fill the peppers with the mixture.
  4. Cut the tomatoes into rings and stuff the peppers. You can replace this step by covering the peppers with potatoes. Cut it into rings and close the peppers so that the contents do not come out during cooking.
  5. In a pot or pan for cooking, add olive oil (you can also use ordinary), then fry the flour a little in the oil and add tomato concentrate (or pureed tomatoes). Here it is important to turn down the heat because it can happen that it burns quickly and catches on the bottom, so I usually remove it from the heat during this process. Stir, return to low heat.
  6. Immediately after mixing and returning, add water to the desired thickness. If you have homemade tomato concentrate, you can also add more and less water. This will give a stronger taste, but more sour, so if you like it too sour, add a teaspoon of sugar.
  7. Now arrange the peppers in the sauce and add the celery.
  8. Cook for about 20 minutes in a pressure cooker or about an hour in a regular one. Be careful not to burn yourself. The dish is ready when the peppers soften and lose their toughness.
  9. Serve hot with dressing.
  10. I like to make mashed potatoes with them, but they also go well with bread alone.
  11. You can also fill zucchini in the same way.
