Stuffed peppers like you have never tried before. And the pan must be peeled. Otherwise, stuffed peppers are not "real". Babura are most often used for stuffing, but you can stuff whatever peppers you want.

I seasoned them with bacon. Stuffed peppers prepared with the addition of homemade bacon have a special taste - a taste that will win you over at the first bite.

Stuffed peppers, ingredients:

Ingredients for 9 small peppers:

  • 1 onion
  • 100 g of fatty bacon
  • 300 g of minced meat
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 15 teaspoons of rice
  • 1 spoon of allspice
  • 1 large tomato
  • to taste: salt, pepper, parsley leaf, oregano, crushed hot pepper.

Ingredients for the sauce:

  • 1 slice of bacon
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 spoon of rice
  • 500 g of tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • salt and spices to taste

Stuffed peppers, preparation:

  • Chop the bacon as finely as possible, the onion as well.
  • Fry the bacon and onion on medium heat until the onion is golden brown.
  • Add the meat and fry for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Finally, mix in all the mentioned spices, also chopped tomatoes and rice. (You can boil the rice briefly beforehand).
  • Fill the peppers, close them with rings of tomatoes, potatoes or anything else you like.
  • Pour a cup of water into the bottom of the pot and put the stuffed peppers to cook.
  • Make the sauce - fry the chopped bacon and garlic on a medium temperature, then add the chopped or ground tomatoes, then the rice.
  • Cook for about five minutes, season and pour over the stuffed peppers. If necessary, pour more water.
  • Cook the stuffed peppers for another half hour.

For the stuffed peppers, peel the tomatoes. The taste of peeled tomatoes is more pleasant for the palate.

You can add some other vegetables to the filling for stuffed peppers - grated carrot, zucchini...

When you stuff the peppers, instead of cooking them on the stove, you can "cook" them in the oven. You can fill the space between the peppers with pieces of vegetables. You can use tomato juice instead of fresh tomatoes.

Are you wondering what I had for lunch?!

I prepared peppers for the meat-eating family members, and I had lunch at my aunt's. When I prepare peppers for myself, I fill them with vegetables and rice. Sometimes I also add soy flakes. I use a lot of vegetables - zucchini, eggplant, mushrooms.

Sometimes I prepare them with one type, and sometimes I use a combination of different types of vegetables. You can mix 1 egg into the filling for the peppers, regardless of whether they are with or without meat. When serving, you can sprinkle the peppers with chopped parsley and garlic.
