Stuffed fried fritters, a high-calorie recipe for adults, and of course, for children as well. When you get bored of plain fried foods, you can easily make them more interesting. Very simple and quick to prepare.

  • 4 pieces of stale bread
  • 80 g of cheese
  • 80 g of ham
  • mayonnaise (or sour cream)
  • ketchup
  • 2 pieces of eggs
  • milk

  1. Thinly slice stale bread into pieces of roughly equal size, or use toasted bread. You need 2 slices of bread for each stuffed fritter.
  2. Spread mayonnaise or sour cream (optional) on one piece and add grated cheese, then ham. Spread ketchup on the second piece of bread and cover the first piece, as if you made a double sandwich. Press to combine and make sure the ingredients don't fall too far outside the edge of the bread.
  3. Wash 2 eggs and add a little milk (4 spoons, maybe more). The more milk you add, the softer and less crunchy they will be, so if you overdo it, nothing bad will happen, it will just be softer. You can also add a pinch of salt in this process (don't overdo it because whatever you used to stuff it with is already strong enough).
  4. Pour the oil into the pan and let it heat up.
  5. Dip the prepared fritters in the egg and milk mixture, on both sides, and then place them in hot oil. The crust is caught relatively quickly, so turn it to the other side and take it out on a plate, on which you can put a napkin to absorb the excess fat.
  6. I usually count 2 fries per person, because they are quite strong. This is the amount for one person, or two smaller ones.
  7. Also, you can add ingredients as you wish in the same way, mozzarella, pancetta, etc. fit nicely.
