The recipe for wholemeal flour pancakes brings fullness of taste and increases the nutritional value of this meal. This pancake recipe contains apple juice and soy milk instead of the usual cow's milk.

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 0,25 cup white wheat flour
  • 0,33 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 0,5 teaspoons of salt
  • 1,5 cups vanilla flavored soy milk
  • 0,25 cup apple juice
  • 1 egg (large, lightly beaten)

  • 0,5 cup walnuts (coarsely chopped)
  • maple syrup (or honey)
  1. In a mixing bowl, pour soy milk, apple juice and lightly beaten egg. Mix until the mass is even. With constant stirring, add flour and other ingredients. Mix until the mass is even. Let the mass stand for 5 minutes.
  2. Lightly grease the pan with oil and heat it to medium temperature. Use about 1/4 cup of pancake batter for each pancake. As soon as you pour the mass into the heated pan, sprinkle the top with 2 teaspoons of raisins and 2 teaspoons of walnuts. Cook for 1 minute and carefully turn. Cook the other side for about 1 minute, until it gets a light brown color. Repeat the process for each remaining pancake.
  3. Serve the pancakes warm, topped with maple syrup or honey. Pleasant!
