Dragan Cosic: In today's column: We present to you, we are talking about a domestic site, from the category Domestic wisdom at work. Namely, it is a website about cooking and chefs, that is, Recipes and Cook online. The author of this site is Miodrag Ilić, our guest today.

We will present your site, although I have seen it too, it looks great, but you, as the author, will be able to present it better than me. Who is it intended for, what does it have, etc...

Miodrag Ilic: In February 2018, we are celebrating four years of the existence of this website, otherwise the website Recipes and Kuvar online is the product of a small, family IT company, which is owned by us. The desire was to, by applying new technologies, in a new way, present recipes, cooking, in general, all the stories related to those topics.

Apart from the recipes, which is hinted at by the very name of the site, we try to have various stories on the site, including interviews with many famous people, such as one of your associates, Zoran Modli.

Dragan Cosic: Zoran Modli is the first violin!

Miodrag Ilic: Then you can read interview with Dr. Alain Delabo, who is the founder of the concept food chrono... So, we also deal a little with healthy food. Recently, we have been very focused and dedicated to traditional cuisine.

Dragan Cosic: Domestic, Serbian?

Miodrag Ilic: Yes. Why the name "homemade"? Because it is a departure from a professional kitchen. To emphasize that it is a part of Serbian tradition, a part of every household, every house, which should be preserved from oblivion.

Dragan Cosic: Miodraz, I'm going to reveal the secret of how we got to your site in the first place. One afternoon, a group of friends were sitting and decided to make the best pizza. They googled a bit, that is. we googled a bit, we were looking for the best pizza. And we came to a certain Mr. Luigi Vianello, and therefore to your site. We have seen how it is made margarita pizza, nothing special... That's how we got to the site, and you got to our show.

This site was declared in the top five sites in the category Modern family?

Miodrag Ilic: Yes, it was PC Press's TOP50 Best Online Things of 2015. The expert jury decided that we should be placed in the Modern Family category. And our site was selected in the TOP5 in that category, out of a total of TOP50. This year, 2018, in January, the same editorial staff, the same jury, ranked our site among the 10 best sites according to the ratings of readers and visitors. And in that vote, our site was second... but from behind. We like to joke about it. It took 9th place out of 10, which is a great success for us and confirmation of quality and consistency.

Dragan Cosic: A project also arose from this site: publishing a book? About traditional Serbian dishes?

Miodrag Ilic: Yes, it's a book Traditional recipes of Serbian cuisine, as I mentioned a moment ago. Otherwise, we choose every year the best recipe, according to the opinion of the expert jury, according to the opinion of the visitors. Last year, we came up with the idea of ​​trying to make a permanent contribution to intangible cultural heritage and its preservation in Serbia. Consequently, we also contacted the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, which responded very quickly with a letter of institutional support and we went deeply into that action and research work on the book.

Dragan Cosic: Who is this book for?

Miodrag Ilic: The readership for which this book is intended is very broad. From individuals, through companies to culinary professionals, who are not sufficiently familiar with the topic: what was prepared from food in Serbia at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century.

Dragan Cosic: Miodraz, this was a brief presentation of a very interesting site. Thank you very much for participating in the show, we wish you much success in your business. We want your website to continue to be visited by millions of visitors, and we want the book to move into as many homes and kitchens as possible.
