Hornets' sweet nests - Kristina Gašpar

Hornet's sweet nests - as food in our country is getting more and more expensive, and incomes are getting smaller and smaller, we have to economize when preparing food, without skimping on nutrients.

I have never prepared carob, I don't even know why. I even forgot what it tastes like.

Mom says she used it when we were little and that Dad likes strudel with carob, and I seem to have slept through that period of my childhood.

Yesterday, I happened to see it in the store and was surprised that it was not expensive, that is. how affordable it is, and in another store it was even cheaper - 200 g 50 dinars.

And that's how this delicacy was born ;).

I had cooked spaghetti, brown sugar, eggs... I don't really like the smell of carob, but its taste is acceptable. I decided to spice it up with cinnamon, orange, lemon and cinnamon. The vanilla scent goes without saying. Carob has a lot of protein, various minerals, and in the past it was used as a sweetener. They say it is suitable for diabetics. In addition to being affordable, it is very healthy.

Since food here is getting more and more expensive, and incomes are getting smaller and smaller, we have to economize when preparing food, without skimping on nutrients.

Necessary ingredients for 12-15 nests:

• 400 g of spaghetti
• 150 g of ground carob
• 3 tablespoons of oil
• 5 eggs
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1 orange (peel and juice)
• 1 bag of vanilla sugar
• 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

Necessary ingredients for the dressing:

• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 cup water
• 1/2 lemon
1. Preparation:
2. Cook the spaghetti according to the instructions on the bag. Rinse them in cold water and drain well. Pour oil over them and mix so that the oil sticks to the spaghetti.
3. Dry them with ground carob and combine.
4. Turn on the oven at 200 degrees.
5. Cover the muffin tray with baking paper. Place a handful of spaghetti in each cavity.
6. Cover them with the filling:
7. Beat eggs and sugar until foamy, then add grated orange peel and juice, vanilla sugar and cinnamon.
8. Bake the nests for about 20 minutes.
9. While they are baking, cook the dressing:
10. Boil water, sugar and lemon cut into smaller pieces for about 5 minutes.
