Rolls with cheese - Valentina Milićević.
Rolls with cheese, ingredients:
- flour, 1 kg
- salt, 2 teaspoons
- sugar, 1 spoon
- oil, 100 ml
- water, 600 ml
- baking powder, 1
- cheese, 500 g
- margarine or butter, 100 g
- egg, 1 whole
- sesame seeds for sprinkling
Rolls with cheese, preparation:
- Whip the dough from the above ingredients, then cover with a cloth and let the dough rise and double in size. It took me a little more than a kilogram of flour.
- Divide the risen dough into two parts, knead each one a little and let it rest for another ten minutes.
- Then, roll out each part with a rolling pin into a rectangle, then cover with half of the filling.
- Roll the coated dough into a roll, on the wider side, and cut into pieces 2-3 fingers wide.
- Do the same with the other half of the dough.
- Arrange the cut rolls in a tray lined with baking paper, cover with a cloth and leave for about half an hour to rise.
- Before baking, brush with beaten egg, sprinkle with sesame or other seeds and bake at 220*C for about 20 minutes.
- Cover the baked rolls with a cloth and leave them in the tray for ten minutes.
- Serve warm.

- Mash the cheese with a fork and mix with softened butter.
- If the cheese is not salty, add a little salt to the filling.
- In case the cheese is hard, add a little cream to get a nice texture of the filling, which can be spread over the dough.
