Russian salad - I usually make it for Slava and all larger gatherings. Practical, fast, tasty 🙂

  • 2 bags of mixed vegetables for Russian salad
  • 2 pieces of potatoes
  • 4 pieces of eggs
  • 1 bag of mayonnaise
  • pickles (gherkins, to taste)
  • 300 g of ham (in a piece)
  1. If you want, you can make a Russian salad mix yourself. You need: 250g carrots, 200g peas, 300g potatoes
  2. If you are using a pre-bought mix, I like to add an extra potato/two to soften the amount of peas. Clean the potatoes, boil them and cut them into cubes. Cook the prepared vegetables so that they are soft, but not falling apart.
  3. Strain all the vegetables well and let them cool, then pour them into a deep bowl.
  4. Cut the cucumbers and ham into small cubes and add to the vegetables. You can add cucumbers as you wish, usually around 250 grams, if you like them a little sour.
  5. Boil eggs. Mix two eggs into the salad, and leave two aside for decoration.
  6. At the end, add mayonnaise as desired and mix everything together. Do not overdo it with mayonnaise, so that it is not the only taste that will be felt.
  7. Garnish with the remaining two eggs, parsley and cucumbers as desired.
