Olive salad - Snezana Kitanović
Olive salad – this simple and very tasty salad comes from Antioch. It is served as a meze with brandy.
The salad has a specific taste, because its mandatory ingredient is pomegranate molasses and za'atar spice, which tastes like chubar and gives a wonderful taste to salads. Since I don't have these two ingredients, I adapted the salad by replacing the pomegranate molasses with balsamic vinegar and the sugar with parsley. The end result……phenomenal taste, and the salad will be on the must-make list from now on.

Olive salad - Snezana Kitanović
- It is necessary:
- 100 gr. green olives (pitted)
- 100 g black olives (pitted)
- 100 gr. olive in oregano
- spoon of dry olives
- a larger head of onion
- 1 medium diced tomato
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1-2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar
- parsley (finely chopped)
- salt (pepper)
- Finely chop the onion, add a little salt and mix with your hands, which will soften the onion and make it tastier.
- Add the other ingredients, mix well, add salt to taste and a little pepper.
- You can serve the salad with kriš
- Suggestion:
- Pitted olives are very salty, so I kept them in cold water for a while, changing the water occasionally.
- That's why I didn't salt the salad.
