Salčići - Slađana Šćekić - Recipes and Cookbook online

Sauces, ingredients:

  • 350 g of flour
  • 100 ml of white wine
  • 1 teaspoon of fat
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • a bit of salt
  • 1 lemon (grated zest)

To coat the dough:

  • 250 g of minced lard
  • 2 tablespoons flour

File:

  • jam as desired
  • powdered sugar for sprinkling
  • vanilla sugar

Salčići, preparation:

  • Put flour and a little salt and everything else in a mixing bowl. Knead the dough well until it is smooth (so that it does not stick to your hands).
  • Leave the dough to rest in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
  • Then roll out the crust as thin as possible. Spread the developed crust with half of the prepared lard (the lard should be mixed with flour) and roll the dough into a roll. Flatten the roll a little, then fold it over.
  • Then let the dough rest for 15 minutes. Then do the same thing again: unfold the crust, spread it with lard and roll it into a roll, flatten the roll a little and fold it over, let it rest again for 15 minutes.
  • After that time, roll out the crust to a thickness of 1/2 cm. Cut into desired pieces, fill with jam and fold.
  • Arrange in a tray. Let the dough rest in the pan for 30 minutes.
  • Bake at 200 C for about 20 minutes.
  • Dust the baked salčić with powdered sugar.
