Carp from the oven - Vesna Pavlović - Recipes and Cookbook online

Carp from the oven - our daughter, a student in the second grade of elementary school, was born during the St. Peter's Day fast.

Accordingly, we always celebrate her birthday with fasting, in the circle of family and friends, and this carp also decorates the birthday table. A party with friends follows in the playroom when the school year begins and Lent is over.

Carp from the oven, ingredients:

  • 3 kg of carp,
  • spices to taste (salt, pepper and dry herb seasoning),
  • 100 g semolina,
  • 200 g breadcrumbs,
  • 50 g of wheat flour,
  • oil if needed

Carp from the oven, preparation:

  • Clean the carp, wash it well and chop it, add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Put semolina, breadcrumbs, flour and dry herbal seasoning in a deep bowl and mix everything.
  • Roll each piece of fish on both sides in the prepared mixture and place in an oiled pan.
  • Cover with oil and bake in a well-heated oven at 180 degrees until golden brown.
  • Then turn the other side and bake it until it gets a nice, ruddy color (bake one side for 40 minutes - I bake it that way, because we like it well-done. You can also bake it for a shorter time, if you don't really like well-done fish).
