Colorful jar - Gvozdena Živković - Recipes and Cookbook online

A colorful jar.

Colorful jar, ingredients:

  • 800 grams of hot peppers in various colors,
  • 350 grams of cucumbers or cucumbers,
  • 150 grams of young okra,
  • 1,5 level spoons of salt,
  • 4 spoons of sugar,
  • 60 ml of apple cider vinegar,
  • water as needed,
  • a little peppercorns, to taste.

Colorful jar, preparation:

  • Wash the vegetables under running water, remove the stems from the peppers.
  • Hollow out the cucumbers to fill them with okra.
  • If you don't have okra, stuff the cucumbers with peppers, like I did.
  • The hardest part is packing – filling the jar. Try to make it as colorful and beautiful as possible.
  • When you fill the jar with vegetables, pour salt, sugar, vinegar over the vegetables, you can also add some peppercorns.
  • Place a plastic grid over the vegetables, but gently, do not press too hard on the vegetables.
  • Pour water to cover the grate. Close with a metal lid, tightly. Check that you have sealed well by turning the jar upside down.
  • Pasteurize in the classic way. In the pot, first place a trulex or cloth cloth (napkin) on the bottom, then place the jar and pour cold water up to the lid. Let it boil, no more than 5 minutes from the start of boiling.
  • Leave the jar to cool in the pot. Wipe the cooled jar and put it in a cool place.
  • Enjoy the beautiful flavors of this vegetable.
