Perfect gibanica with baked crusts, ingredients:

  • package of homemade rolled baked crusts from Raznje, 500 g (purchased at TO THE TEST),
  • 250 g of hard, overheated cow's white cheese,
  • 250 g of small, soft, young cow's white cheese,
  • 100 g of sour cream or young cream,
  • 4 eggs,
  • 50 ml of olive oil,
  • 100 - 150 ml of acidic water,
  • 20 g butter for greasing.

Perfect gibanica with baked crusts, preparation:

  • Grease the baking pan with butter.
  • Shred the hard, overcooked cow's cheese with a knife.
  • Beat the eggs in a mixing bowl.
  • Add chopped boiled cheese, small cheese, sour cream or fresh cream to the beaten eggs and mix well.
  • Place one crust in the pan, then sprinkle a little oil and sour water.
  • Then, add the second crust and pour one third of the egg and cheese mixture.
  • Repeat adding the crusts, sprinkling with oil and pickled water and adding the mixture until you have crusts.
  • At the end, put two crusts and sprinkle with oil and sour water.
  • A perfect gibanica with a baked crust is baked in the oven at 200 C for twenty minutes (which depends on the strength of your oven and the baking method: with fan or not) until golden brown.
  • When the perfect gibanica is baked, take it out of the oven, brush it with a little water and leave it under a clean kitchen towel to cool.
  • Serve with sour milk or yogurt.
  • Pleasant!
