Savory strudel with beetroot - Suzana Mitić

Savory strudel with beetroot Suzana Mitic recipes and cookbook online

  • 2 dl of milk
  • 1 dl of water
  • 4 tablespoons of oil
  • 1/2 cube of yeast
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 2 spoons of level salt
  • about 800 grams of flour
  • For coating you need:
  • 100 g of margarine
  • 150 g of cheese
  • 200 g of dry meat
  • 1 yolk
  • 2 tablespoons of yogurt
  • 20 g of sesame
  • 20 grams of cumin
  • 20 g of linseed
  • a pinch of sea salt
  • 100 g of fresh beets
  1. Put sugar, salt and 10 spoons of flour in the milk. Mix the mass with a spoon and let the yeast rise. Put the remaining yeast in a mixing bowl and add the other ingredients and knead a smooth dough. Take one third of the dough, put it in another mixing bowl and grate the beets on the smallest grater. Knead the dough until the mass is nicely uniform. Leave it in a warm place to rise.
  2. Divide the dough without beetroot into two parts. Spread each part with margarine and cheese and wrap it in a roll. Spread the dough with beetroot with margarine and cheese and arrange the dry meat. Wrap it in a roll.
  3. Arrange all the rolls next to each other. Coat each one with beaten egg yolk and yogurt and sprinkle sesame on one, cumin on the second and flax seeds on the third. Pleasant.
