Salted snails - they will delight you with their softness 🙂

  • 500 g of flour
  • 20 g of fresh yeast
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 0,5 teaspoons of sugar
  • 75 ml of water
  • 250 ml of yogurt
  • 50 ml of oil

  • 500 g of ham (sliced)
  • 100 g of cheese

Coating:

  • 1 piece of egg
  • Sesame
  • 125 g of margarine
  1. Put warm water, sugar and crushed yeast in the mixing bowl.
  2. Wait for the yeast to rise and gradually add the oil, salt, and yogurt
  3. adding flour, knead a soft dough that does not stick to your hands.
  4. If your yogurt is thinner, you will need a little more flour, add it gradually because the dough must not be hard.
  5. Leave the dough in a warm place for 30 minutes to rise.
  6. During this time, finely chop the bacon and coarsely grate the kackavalj.
  7. After 30 minutes, divide the dough into 8 dumplings, knead each one a little more
  8. and leave it to rise for another 15 minutes.
  9. On a floured surface, roll out each noodle as thin as possible, apply kackavalj and onion,
  10. twist it into a roll and roll it into a circle. That way you will get 8 rolls.
  11. Gently press each puz made in this way with a rolling pin and thin it to 1 cm thick.
  12. Lubricate the baking tray with margarine, arrange the snails, coat them with beaten egg, sprinkle with sesame seeds and put a piece of margarine on each one.
  13. Heat the oven to 200 degrees and bake the pastry until golden brown.
  14. It takes 15-20 minutes depending on the power of the oven.
The pastry is still soft on the second day and can be a snack for your little ones 🙂
