Savory rolls and savory cake.

ROLL WITH POPPY

Roll with poppy seeds, ingredients:

Required for the crust:

  • 8 egg whites,
  • 4 spoons of flour,
  • 1 teaspoon of salt,
  • 2 tablespoons of poppy seeds,
  • 1 baking powder

for the filling:

  • 300 grams of Swabian cheese,
  • 1 sour cream,
  • 3 spoons of mayonnaise and
  • salami in rolls, cut as thin as possible.

Roll with poppy seeds, preparation:

  • Separate the egg whites in a deep dish and leave the yolks in another dish, and you will use them for the yellow roll.
  • Beat the egg whites until stiff, add flour, baking powder, salt and poppy seeds and mix until the mass is even.
  • Transfer the resulting mass to a large pan that is greased and well sprinkled with flour and place in a heated oven and bake at 180 degrees until it starts to separate from the pan.
  • Put the baked crust on a wet cloth and wrap it in it and leave it to cool.
  • Prepare the filling by mixing cheese, sour cream and mayonnaise and spreading the resulting filling over the roll that has been removed from the cloth and rolled out.
  • When the crust is coated with the filling, with the fact that when you coat the crust, leave about ¼ of the filling to spread over the salami that you arranged on the first part of the filling and then roll it all into a roll.

YELLOW ROLL

Yellow roll, ingredients:

Required for the crust:

  • 8 egg yolks,
  • 1 glass of yogurt,
  • 1 teaspoon of salt,
  • 1 cups of flour,
  • 1 baking powder

For the filling:

  • 300 g of cheese,
  • 1 sour cream,
  • 300 g of chopped salami as desired,
  • chopped cucumbers.

Yellow roll, preparation:

  • Put egg yolks in a bowl, add yogurt, salt, flour and baking powder and mix everything.
  • Put the resulting mass into a large pan that is greased and well sprinkled with flour and put it in a heated oven at 180 degrees until the roll starts to separate from the pan.
  • Put the baked crust on a wet cloth and wrap it in it and leave it to cool.
  • Prepare the filling by combining cheese, sour cream and chopped salami and chopped cucumbers, and the resulting filling is spread over the roll that was removed from the cloth and rolled out and rolled again with the filling.

Both rolls should be made the day before because then they are tastier and juicier.

SALTY CAKE WITH WAFERS

Savory cake with wafers, ingredients:

  • 3 sheets of large wafer / C wafer is best because when it is spread with the filling it will not be tough/,
  • 600 g of Swabian cheese,
  • 200 g of mayonnaise,
  • 250 g margarine for cookies,
  • 600 g of salami, as thinly sliced ​​as possible,
  • 600 g of sour cream,
  • 200 g of cheese.

Savory cake with wafers, preparation:

  • Beat the margarine with a mixer and mix with cheese and mayonnaise and half of the sour cream.
  • Take the wafer and spread it with the obtained filling and arrange the rings of salami over the filling to cover the entire wafer.
  • Spread a thin layer of sour cream over the salami so that the next wafer sticks to the bottom one and spread it again with the filling and line up the salami which is spread with a thin layer of sour cream and then put a liquid sheet of wafer.
  • Spread the rest of the filling on the third sheet and sprinkle grated cheese over it.

It is best to make this savory cake the day before so that the wafers soften from the filling. I sent all three recipes because both rolls and savory cake are on the same tray.
