So and water are much more than food. They are the very essence of life. Salt and water are the basic ingredients in our blood, as well as in the ocean. Human civilization survived thanks to the cultivation of food, and especially salt was important, so the first civilization appeared in areas where salt was isolated in a natural way.

Quality sea salt contains all the minerals found in sea water. That's why sea salt is recommended for human consumption, instead of the fully refined salt sold today, which is over 99% sodium chloride and looks like a white powder. Calcium and iodine are added to this refined salt to enrich it with minerals, as well as dextrose to soften the sharp, spicy taste. This kind of salt is useless for our body and, in fact, has only the role of a spice. There is salt (and water) in all our body fluids, so the role of salt is vital for the functions of our body. Sodium chloride is not a salt. Our ancestors did not eat such salt, so modern man broke the biological continuity of the presence of unrefined sea salt in the blood. We have to understand that our orgasm needs good quality sea salt with all its minerals, because basically our body fluids are of the same composition as sea water at the time when life was born in it.

In the macrobiotic diet, we use only sea salt, the composition of which makes our blood of high quality. It is a salt obtained when seawater is dried in the sun or boiled over low heat to obtain a concentrate.

Today, in health food stores, you can find various types of sea salt, which are mostly imported. This salt is much more expensive than the processed industrial salt sold in supermarkets, however, people who care about their health should use sea salt, because the benefits and profits are manifold.
