Spanish Pie - I don't know why this pie is called Spanish, but I love it.
- 4 pieces of eggs
- 100 g of leeks
- 100 g of pickled cucumbers
- 100 g of pickled red pepper
- 150 g of cheese
- 100 g of chicken breast
- 1 teaspoon of oregano
- 1 cup of white flour
- 1 cup of white cornmeal
- 1 cup oil (not full to the top)
- 2 cups of yogurt
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds (toasted)
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric
- 2 bags of baking powder
- Cut the leek into rings.
- Chop the cucumbers and peppers or cut them into cubes.
Shred the cheese with a fork if it is not already fine, in my case it was fine cheese. - Also cut the ham into cubes or chop it into small pieces, in my case it was cut into slices, so I just chopped it up a little with my hands.
- Add salt, turmeric, oregano and mix everything.
- Add both flours and oil.
Mix and add half of the yogurt and gently mix with a food processor and add the yogurt until you get a smooth mixture. If you need more than specified in the recipe. - At the end, add sesame and baking powder.
- While you are doing this, turn on the oven to preheat it to 200C degrees.
- Line a tray with baking paper and pour the prepared mixture.
- Place in a preheated oven to bake until golden brown.
Remove the pie and cover with a cloth to cool.
Cut into cubes of desired size and serve.
Pleasant!
If you want a thicker pie, use a smaller and deeper pan. In my case it was a baking sheet, because I like a thin pie.
The pie was a complement to the appetizer.
The cup I used has a volume of 3 dcl.
