At the 2nd International Culinary Competition, which was held from May 8 to 11, 2017 in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, representatives of the Culinary Federation of Serbia (which includes HoReCa Association Kragujevac, Association of Chefs of Serbia and Culinary Association of Serbia) they won a total of four gold medals, three silver, two bronze and two cups for second and third place in the overall ranking.

In the very strong and selected competition at this year's competition, our chefs once again showed that Serbia should be included in one of the biggest culinary forces in Southeast Europe.

At this competition, our chefs won prizes in competition with more than 100 competitors from all over Europe. Nine medals and two cups were won by Kragujevac and Belgrade chefs in the categories "national dish in a modern way" and "modern dish". The success is all the greater, because it was achieved in front of the respectable names of world cuisine who made up the jury of the event.

President of the Association of Chefs of Serbia Dejan Stanković he declared that he was satisfied with the achieved results:

- We prepared in detail for this competition and after exhaustive consultations and suggestions, we managed to create a recipe that we were sure would leave a good impression on the judges. On this occasion, I have to give recognition to our guys who really showed how the profession and the colors of Serbia are defended, loved and respected. This year, the Culinary Federation of Serbia received reinforcements from the multi-awarded HoReCa association Kragujevac, with whom we plan to achieve ambitious development plans in the field of gastronomy - pointed out Stanković.

The awarded team of the Culinary Federation of Serbia consists of:

  • Uglješa Stepanović (KAS) – Gold medal, silver medal and cup for second place,
  • Milan Stevanovic (HoReCa) – Silver medal, bronze medal and cup for third place,
  • Petar Bojković (KAS) – Gold medal,
  • Milan Savić (KAS) – Bronze medal,
  • Darko Boić (KAS) – Gold medal,
  • Stefan Ristović (HoReCa, ASKS) – Gold medal, silver medal,
  • Dragan Jerotic (ASKS) - diploma.
