What a nutritionist never eats? Nutritionist Bill Marler spent 20 years investigating cases of food poisoning that people experienced in restaurants, bakeries and other food service establishments..

Since then, he believes that some foods simply cannot be trusted. He published his list of foods in the magazine "Food Poisoning Journal" and said which foods he would put "on a diet" forever.

Earning $600.000 in lawsuits in which he was called to act as a doctor, he realized that one should never take any chances with this food.

Fresh oysters

Marler says he's seen many foodborne illnesses from oysters. That number has increased in the last five years compared to the previous two decades. The reason - heating the water. As the temperature of the water rises under the influence of global warming, it leads to the creation of microbacteria that gather inside their shells. When consumed, they enter the human body and can be fatal to his life as they cause poisoning.

Chopped fruits and vegetables

This should be avoided at all costs. It may be nice that you don't bother and someone prepares your food, but the more hands it passes through, the greater the risk to your health.

Fresh sprouts

They call them superfoods, but it's amazing how many bacteria are in them (especially salmonella and Escherichia coli).

Raw or medium-roasted meat

Speaking about the way meat is prepared, he appeals that it must be cooked or baked at 160 degrees in order to kill bacteria such as Escherichia coli and salmonella. No other options are possible.

Uncooked eggs

Let's just remember the salmonella epidemic that ruled the world in the 90s. According to Marler, the chances of being poisoned by live eggs are much lower than before, due to the constant controls that are carried out and the way they are stored, but he again appeals that you should not put yourself at risk.

Unpasteurized milk and juices

A movement that is increasingly sweeping and encouraging the world leads consumers to eat and drink only fresh, as any thermal processing reduces the nutritional value of foods. On the contrary, Marler says that pasteurization is not a harmful process - but that fresh drinks can increase the risk of infection with bacteria, viruses and parasites.
