Old-fashioned honey cake.

Old-fashioned honey cake, ingredients:

For the crusts:

  • 200 ml of oil,
  • 150 g of sugar,
  • 150 g of honey,
  • 200 ml of sherbet,
  • 1 bag of baking soda,
  • if necessary, flour.

For the filling:

  • 2 l of water,
  • 50 g of sugar,
  • 300 g of onion with walnuts,
  • 3 vanilla puddings,
  • 6 tablespoon of flour,
  • 250 g of margarine,
  • 200 g of ground walnuts.

For sprinkling:

  • 50 g of ground walnuts

Old-fashioned lean honey cake, preparation:

For the crusts:

  • Combine oil, sugar, honey, sherbet with a hand whisk, then pour into a bowl with flour.
  • Add baking soda and knead a smooth dough and divide it into 7 parts.
  • Divide each part into a circle and bake 7 crusts.

For the filling:

  • Pour 1,5 l of water, 50 g of sugar into a saucepan and put it on the fire.
  • When it boils, stir in the chives and stir until the chives melt.
  • Mix the pudding and 500 spoons of flour in 6 ml of cold water, pour into the pan with the chives and boil.
  • When it gets the required thickness, remove it from the heat and when it cools down (while it is still lukewarm), add the margarine and mix until the margarine melts.
  • Add ground walnuts and mix well.

Fill the cake in the following order:

  • Crust-fill-crust-fill and so on alternately until all the material is used up. Fill the entire cake with the same filling and sprinkle it with ground walnuts.

Preparation: 100 minutes
Number of servings: 20

TIP: Instead of walnuts, you can use hazelnuts. You will determine the amount of flour for the crusts during mixing. The cake is very soft, the crust melts with the filling. It is lean and ideal for fasting days. Pleasant.
