Kraljevo, August 26 - The companies Coca-Cola HBC Serbia and METRO Cash & Carry Serbia donated shoes and school supplies for all 84 residents of the SOS Children's Village and the Youth Community in Kraljevo. On this occasion, an all-day gathering of celebrities and company employees with children, SOS mothers and staff in Selo was organized.
"The gift packages with school supplies and shoes for the beginning of the new school year prepared for us by the companies METRO Cash & Carry Serbia and Coca-Cola HBC Serbia made both the children and us very happy. In the Children's Village, we strive to make childhood more beautiful for every child who is placed with us, we take care of their health, education, and help them develop their potential in accordance with their capabilities. We are especially grateful that both companies decided to spend the whole day socializing with the children and other residents of the Children's Village through a series of joint activities that they designed and organized," said Borka Lukić, director of SOS Children's Village Kraljevo.
All-day socializing with children from SOS Children's Village Kraljevo was filled with joint preparation of lunch with members of the Junior Chefs' Club of Serbia, led by the mentor, manager of the METRO HoReCa center Uroš Urošević and Minja Bogdanovski, author of the blog "Minji's kitchen", and games were also organized without borders in which celebrities also participated, giving wholehearted support to this initiative of the two companies.
"We believe that this institution provides an exceptional example of caring for children who need help, and that is why we, together with our long-term partners from METRO, wanted to, in addition to donating things that we know are necessary for children, also organize an interesting all-day gathering that we will also remember together with the children. In addition to the commitment to the communities in which we operate is one of the postulates of Coca-Cola HBC Serbia's business, volunteer actions are particularly important to us because in this way we also contribute as individuals," said Dragan Lupšić, Director of Communications and Legal Affairs at Coca-Cola Cola HBC Serbia, after visiting the SOS village.
"Caring for children is extremely important to us, and METRO Cash & Carry Serbia, as a socially responsible company, always puts children in the center of attention. This is just one of a series of humanitarian activities that we organize with our partners during the year, because that's the only way we can get others to join us and do something for the children and the community in which we live. In addition, this time we wanted to make happy the SOS mothers, who take care of these children every day, devotedly. We took the opportunity to thank them as well, motivate them and give them a real boost in raising new generations," said Andrea Radonjić, head of public relations and corporate communications.
After spending time with the children, gift packages for the children and surprise gifts were handed out to the SOS mothers, characterized by all those present as "Mother heroes".
