Cheese and spinach strudel - Milica Živković.
Strudel with cheese and spinach, ingredients:
- 300 g of flour,
- 1/4 cube of yeast,
- 1 teaspoon of sugar,
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt,
- 50 g of melted margarine,
- 2 haha,
- 1,2 dl warm milk,
- 100 g of peeled and chopped spinach,
- 150 g of small cheese,
- sesame.
Strudel with cheese and spinach, preparation:
- Put yeast, sugar and 1 teaspoon of flour in the warm milk and let it rise for 10 minutes.
- Pour flour, salt, 1 egg, margarine and risen yeast into the pan and knead the dough and leave it to rise for 40 minutes.
- Move the risen dough and roll it as thin as possible into a rectangle.
- Spread a quarter of the end with mixed spinach, cheese and 1 egg white.
- Place the other side of the dough over the filling and press down a little.
- Thin the part where there is no filling with a rolling pin, cut slices 1.5 cm and twist them 3 times.
- On the side where the filling is, wrap it in a roll and over the strips. Put it in a baking tray with baking paper and let it rise for 20 minutes. Brush with beaten egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake for 20 minutes at 200 degrees.
- It can also be made in a sweet version, nutella or jam mixed with ground biscuits.
