Shufnoodles.

Shufnoodles, ingredients:

  • 1 kg of potatoes
  • 500 g flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon of salt

Dressing for sweet noodles

  • 30 g margarine
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 50 g of sugar
  • jam to taste

Shufnoodles, preparation:

  • Boil the potatoes in their skins, clean them and mash them. Add flour and egg to cooled, mashed potatoes. Add salt. Knead the dough and if necessary add more flour until the potato dough does not stick to your hands.
  • Tear the dough with your hands and make cylindrical dumplings about 5 cm long. Shape the dough with your hands to give it the shape of shufnoodles. Boil the noodles in salted boiling water until they float to the surface of the pan.
  • Heat margarine in a pan, then add breadcrumbs. Fry the breadcrumbs while stirring. Add sugar and shufnoodles, mix well until sufnoodles are covered with breadcrumbs and sugar.
