The meaning of the word "shufnoodle": rolls of dough mixed with potatoes, shaped and the size of a finger.
Shufnoodles, ingredients:
- 800 g of potatoes,
- 200 g of flour,
- 3 tablespoons of oil,
- a pinch of salt,
- a teaspoon of sugar and
- 1 egg.
For rolling you need:
- 100 g breadcrumbs,
- 100 g of ground poppy seeds,
- sugar to taste and
- vanilla sugar.

Shufnoodles, preparation:
- Peel the potatoes and put them to cook.
- Mash the boiled potatoes with a fork, add a little salt, oil and egg, then mix everything well so that there are no lumps in the potatoes. At the end, add flour and knead the dough.
- Make small balls, then roll each ball into a roller and cut to the desired length.
- Pour water into a pot, add a pinch of salt, and when it boils, drop the noodles. Cook for a few minutes until they float to the surface.
- Fry the breadcrumbs with a little oil, then add ground poppy seeds, sugar to taste and vanilla sugar, then roll the noodles.
