Dry pie - Nada Georgijev-Gačić - Recipes and Cookbook online

Dry pie.

Dry pie, ingredients:

  • 200 g of ground walnuts
  • 200 g of ground hazelnuts
  • grated rind of 1 lemon
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 1 bag of cinnamon (10 g)
  • vanilla sugar

To coat the crust:

  • 1 cup (2 dl) of oil
  • 100 g of margarine

Dry pie, preparation:

  • Put the oil and margarine in a saucepan and melt the margarine over low heat.
  • For the filling, put ground walnuts, ground hazelnuts, sugar, vanilla sugar, lemon peel and cinnamon in a bowl and mix everything well.
  • Take a large baking sheet from the oven and grease it with oil.
  • Line up three crusts and spray each one with a mixture of oil and margarine. Pour a little filling on every second and third crust. Wrap it in a roll, and sprinkle the top of the crust with a mixture of oil and margarine and water. Put it to bake in an oven heated to 175 degrees, for about forty minutes. Bake the pie until nicely browned.

This dry pie is a must on the Christmas Eve table in my house.
