Swabian pie with plums - Verica Poznanović - Recipes and Cookbook online

Swabian pie with plums.

Swabian plum pie, ingredients (this is a double measure):

  • 500 g of flour,
  • 25 g of fresh yeast,
  • 2 dl milk,
  • 2 teaspoons of sugar,
  • 50 ml of oil,
  • 1 egg,
  • a little salt and
  • 1 kg of plums.

For sprinkling:

  • 150 g of flour,
  • 100 g of margarine and
  • 100 g of sugar.

Swabian pie with plums, preparation:

  • Add two teaspoons of sugar and yeast to lukewarm milk.
  • When the yeast rises, add the flour that you salted before.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients for the dough and knead it well.
  • Do not put all the flour at once, but add it gradually, because the dough should not be too hard and not too soft.
  • Leave in a warm place until the dough doubles in size.
  • Prepare the crumbly mixture for sprinkling by rubbing all the ingredients provided for it between the palms of your hands, until the mass turns into larger crumbs.
  • Grease the baking tray, put out the dough, arrange the cleaned plum halves on top of the dough and sprinkle generously with the crumbly dough.
  • Bake in a preheated oven for about half an hour until the pie is nicely browned.
