Svetosava pretzels.
Svetosava pretzels, ingredients:
- 800 g of flour,
- 1 bag of dry yeast,
- 1 teaspoon of sugar,
- 1 teaspoon of salt,
- 2 dl milk,
- 3 dl of lukewarm water i
- 1 dl of oil.
Coating:
- 2 egg yolks.
Topping:
- 3 spoons of flour,
- 1 teaspoon of salt and
- • 2 tablespoons of water.
Svetosava pretzels, preparation:
- Mix flour with oil and salt, then add dry yeast, milk and water. Knead a dough that does not stick to your hands, but it must not be hard.
- Cover the dough and leave it warm for about 30 minutes.
Prepare the salty dressing:
- Mix salt and flour, slowly add cold water and mix so that there are no lumps.
- Make long strips from pieces of dough and twist them into pretzels.
- Let them stand for about ten minutes and heat the oven to 200 degrees.
- Brush each pretzel with egg yolk.
- Bake the pretzels for about 10 minutes, take them out of the oven, cover them with the topping and put them back in the oven for a few more minutes.
