Svetosava pretzels - Verica Poznanović - Recipes and Cookbook online

Svetosava pretzels.

Svetosava pretzels, ingredients:

  • 800 g of flour,
  • 1 bag of dry yeast,
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar,
  • 1 teaspoon of salt,
  • 2 dl milk,
  • 3 dl of lukewarm water i
  • 1 dl of oil.

Coating:

  • 2 egg yolks.

Topping:

  • 3 spoons of flour,
  • 1 teaspoon of salt and
  • • 2 tablespoons of water.

Svetosava pretzels, preparation:

  • Mix flour with oil and salt, then add dry yeast, milk and water. Knead a dough that does not stick to your hands, but it must not be hard.
  • Cover the dough and leave it warm for about 30 minutes.

Prepare the salty dressing:

  • Mix salt and flour, slowly add cold water and mix so that there are no lumps.

 

  • Make long strips from pieces of dough and twist them into pretzels.
  • Let them stand for about ten minutes and heat the oven to 200 degrees.
  • Brush each pretzel with egg yolk.
  • Bake the pretzels for about 10 minutes, take them out of the oven, cover them with the topping and put them back in the oven for a few more minutes.
