Salmon baked in the oven - whenever I am able to fish or buy fresh fish I use every opportunity to do so. This time I came across fresh salmon and here is how I prepared it with the result of satisfied householders.

Salmon baked in the oven, ingredients:

  • 1 piece of fresh salmon
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • parsley
  • olive oil
  • Herbs
  • 1 lemon
  • aluminum foil

Salmon baked in the oven, preparation:

  • Clean the insides of the fish well if they did not do it for you in the store and scrape off the scales.
  • If you have the skills and the necessary knives, you can cut the fillets; if you don't, don't try because you will only ruin the salmon, which is delicate.
  • I don't have one, so I roast it whole and then separate the fillets later.
  • Due to its size, the whole fish could not fit in the tray, so I cut it in half and cleaned it.
  • Then I whisked olive oil, crushed garlic, parsley, lemon juice, and spices in a small bowl.
  • I placed two layers of aluminum foil on the tray so that the juices wouldn't leak and I wouldn't have to bother washing the tray 🙂
  • Then she placed the fish and coated the outside and inside equally with the mixture in olive oil.
  • Covered again with foil and baked at 180c for about 30 minutes.
  • Salmon cooks quickly and the fish is generally ready according to the old rule when the eyes turn white.
  • Then I removed the foil and baked for another 10 minutes at 250c.
  • While the fish is warm, carefully remove the main bone and then separate the fillets from the skin with a knife. Bones that are large enough to spot and remove will still remain.
  • Serve warm because salmon, like any fish, dries out if served cold. If you want to serve later, wrap it in aluminum foil while it's still warm.
  • Pleasant.
