Tahini - Sesame paste - is a spread (paste) that is usually made from roasted sesame seeds, a little oil and salt. It originates from the East and is an ingredient in many vegan and vegetarian dishes.

  • 300 g sesame
  • 80 ml oil (optional)
  • 0,5 teaspoons of sea salt
  1. First, roast the sesame - roast it in a pan on the stove for about 15 minutes at a low temperature so that it does not burn.
  2. Pour the cooled sesame and salt into a chopper (blender or other food processor) and process until the sesame is finely ground.
  3. From time to time, open and use a spatula to remove the sesame that has stuck to the walls of the container - return it to the bottom.

  5. Blend until you get a compact mixture.

You can add more oil if you wish.

In this case, your tahini will be thinner.

The advice is to choose "noble" oils - cold pressed.

But, of course, you can also use regular sunflower oil.

Whether or not tahini will work for you depends quite a bit on which food processor you use.

Basically, anyone can do, but be careful about the amount of sesame seeds and the size of the mixing bowl.

For example. a chopper with a container of 650 ml is sufficient for this amount of sesame.

If the container has a large or small amount of sesame, it is very likely that the ingredients will not combine well.
